Effective date: May 10, 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how ReplyDeck (“we”, “us”, “the extension”) handles information when you use the ReplyDeck Chrome extension and the marketing website at https://replydeck.app.
We’ve tried to write this in plain English. If something isn’t clear, email us at support@replydeck.app.
The short version
- Your AI provider API key never leaves your browser. We don’t see it. We don’t proxy your AI calls. The extension talks directly from your machine to OpenAI (or whichever provider you configure).
- We don’t see your prompts or the replies they generate. Reply generation happens between your browser and your AI provider. ReplyDeck doesn’t intercept that traffic.
- We don’t track your Reddit browsing. The extension reads Reddit pages to pick posts to reply to, but that data stays on your device.
- We collect the bare minimum to deliver the product: the email you provide at checkout, the license key we issue you, and (if you’re on Pro) your persona data for cross-browser sync.
- We use three third-party processors: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting + storage), and Resend (transactional email). All three are listed below with links to their policies.
- No advertising. No analytics on the extension. No selling your data. Ever.
Information we collect
Information you provide directly
Stripe checkout email. When you buy a Pro license, you provide an email at checkout. Stripe shares it with us so we can email you your license key and contact you for support.
License activation. When you paste your license key into the extension to activate it, the extension sends just the license key to our server for verification.
Persona data (Pro only). If you have a Pro license, your personas (names, backstories, interests, example replies, subreddit lists) are encrypted in transit and stored on our servers under your license key. This is what makes cross-browser sync work.
Information stored locally on your device
The extension stores the following locally on your device. We do not have access to this data:
- Your AI provider API key
- Your model selection
- Your personas and active persona ID
- Your activity log (reply history)
- Your safety rule preferences
- Your license key (for re-verification on extension reload)
Information collected automatically
Cloudflare standard logs. Our backend is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare keeps short-term request logs (IP, user agent, timing) for security and abuse prevention. We do not aggregate or analyze these logs ourselves; they’re managed by Cloudflare under their privacy policy.
No analytics on the extension. The extension does not include any third-party analytics SDK (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no PostHog).
Marketing site analytics. If we add web analytics to https://replydeck.app (e.g. Plausible, which is privacy-friendly and cookie-less), we’ll update this policy and link to that processor’s policy. Today the site doesn’t run analytics.
What we do not collect
- Your AI provider API key. Stays in local storage on your device. Never sent to our servers.
- Your prompts or the replies your AI generates. Goes directly between your browser and your AI provider.
- Reddit content you read or post. The extension reads Reddit pages on your device to pick targets, but that content is not transmitted to us.
- Your Reddit username or password. The extension uses your existing Reddit session in your browser; it doesn’t authenticate against Reddit itself.
- Browsing history beyond Reddit. The extension only has permission to read Reddit and the relevant AI provider domain (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter).
Third-party processors
| Processor | What they do | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing for the $29 one-time license | Privacy Policy |
| Cloudflare | Server hosting and storage for license records and persona data | Privacy Policy |
| Resend | Sends the license key email after purchase | Privacy Policy |
We don’t share data with any other third parties. We don’t use ad networks. We don’t sell or rent your information.
Where data is stored
- License records (license key, email, Stripe customer ID, purchase date, status): hosted on Cloudflare. Standard data residency applies, primarily US.
- Persona data (Pro only): hosted on Cloudflare, same residency.
- Stripe customer data (payment method, invoices): Stored by Stripe per their policies.
- Resend email logs: Resend retains delivery metadata per their policies (typically short-term).
How long we keep data
- License records: Kept indefinitely while your license is active. Required so you can re-verify your key on a new device or Chrome profile.
- Persona data: Kept while your license is active. Updated every time you save a persona change. Latest save replaces the prior state (we don’t keep version history).
- Stripe payment records: Per Stripe’s retention rules (typically 7 years for tax/financial records).
- Email delivery logs: Per Resend’s retention.
- Cloudflare request logs: Per Cloudflare’s retention (typically days, not months).
Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of your data. Email support@replydeck.app from the address you used at Stripe checkout. We’ll respond within 30 days.
- Request deletion. Email support@replydeck.app with “delete my data” in the subject. We’ll delete your license record and persona data within 30 days. Note: this also deactivates your license — you won’t be able to use Pro features after deletion. Stripe-side records may persist per their financial retention rules.
- Stop using the extension. Uninstalling clears all locally stored extension data automatically. Your cloud-side persona data remains until you also email us to delete it.
- Opt out of email. The license email is the only email we send by default. We may send occasional product update emails to license holders; if we do, every such email will have a one-click unsubscribe.
If you’re in the EU / UK / California, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA — contact support@replydeck.app and we’ll honor them.
Children
ReplyDeck is not directed to anyone under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, email support@replydeck.app and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes — for example, adding a new processor or changing what data we collect — we’ll update this page and email license holders. The “Effective date” at the top reflects the current version.
